Tour Timeline

    Day 1 : Arrive in the Blue City (Jodhpur).

    Your tour of the royal state of Rajasthan starts at Jodhpur − The Blue City. On arrival at the airport or railway station, head to the hotel to check in. First on the sightseeing list is the Mehrangarh Fort, one of India’s largest forts that stands at 400 feet. The next stop is Jaswant Thada, a milky-white marble palace built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh. From here, proceed to Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the world’s largest private residences. Lastly, visit the Clock Tower in the Old City before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

    Day 2 - 3 : Discover the Golden City – Jaisalmer (Jodhpur – Jaisalmer)

    After completing the check-out formalities, travel by road to Jaisalmer. Your first visit will be to the famous Jaisalmer Fort or Sonar Qila that was founded by Rawal Jaisal (Rajput ruler) in 1156 and now houses shops, museum, hotels, houses, and eateries. The fort also contains seven Jain Temples built in Dilwara style with carvings of animal and human figures on the walls. Just 10 min from the Fort is the Patwon-ki-Haveli which consists of five houses and is believed to be the first haveli constructed in Jaisalmer. The walls are covered with beautiful paintings and stunning mirror work.

    Day 4 : The town of forts and food – Bikaner (Jaisalmer – Bikaner)

    Check out from the hotel and travel to the beautiful city of Bikaner. First, visit the famous Junagarh Fort which was constructed between 1589 and 1593 and was home to the royal family. It was attacked a few times through history but was never conquered. Follow this by visiting Royal Cenotaphs, Deshnoke Rat Temple, Gajner Palace Sanctuary, Bhandashah Jain Temple, Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum, Sadul Museum and Prachina Museum. Later, head to the Camel Breeding Farm or go on a Tonga ride around the old city before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

    Day 5 : Heading home (Bikaner – Jodhpur)

    The trip has come to an end and it is time to leave the royal state. After finishing the check-out formalities, travel to the Jodhpur railway station or airport and head back home.
